NEW GAME REVIEWS

SCORES ARE RATED OUT OF 10. THE NUMBERS INDICATE THE FOLLOWING: 10-FLAWLESS 9-ALMOST PERFECT 8-VERY GOOD 7-GOOD 6-ABOVE AVERAGE 5-AVERAGE 4-RENT FISRT 3-DON'T BOTHER RENTING, IT SUCKS! 2-DON'T EVEN LOOK AT THE BOX 1-AT LEAST ITS GOOD FOR 1 THING, A FIRE STARTER! MYSTICAL NINJA: STARRING GEOMON

Mystical Ninja Starring Geomon is a great game. The storyline could use some help but he game play is exellent. This RPG/Action/adventure game is no too hard while not being to easy for the seasoned gamer.

STORYLINE:

A giant Peach shaped UFO comes to the peacful Japanese village of Oedo and turns the Temple into a Europe-style Castle. The Peach Mountain Shotguns have come to steal the Great Stage Plan. U (Geomon)being the hero, must save Japan from all harm.

GAME CONTROL: Aside from the fact that the characters are a little slow, it is very Mario like (without all the moves). Very simple and easy to use, the game makes it fun to play without having to concentrate too much. The weapons are a little boring but that doesn't make the game that much less fun to play.

GRAPHICS: Very pleasing starting cinematics set a high standard for the rest of the game, but it pulls it off nicely. With crisp, bright colors and very nice 3D graphics, it is one of the best LOOKING games that has come out in the last few months.

SOUND: The sound part of the game tends to get a little annoying, especially the opening song. there is not much to it exept for the little "oof"s and "hee"s. The musuc is very cheery and can get on your nerves if listened to for extended periods of time.

SETTING DESIGN:

I have one thing to say about the setting: JAPANESE. this isn't a bad thing (seing how it is a Japanese game), in fact it is very good because it offers something differant that we don't see a lot of in North America. It is bright and HUGE with lots of little Japanese people and even the occasional talking dog.

OVERALL: Really good game that is a probable buyer with nice graphics and good setting design.

NBA COURTSIDE

STORYLINE: Dribble, run, shoot, dribble, run, shoot. N/A

GAME CONTROL: Pretty good control with good passes that are different almost evertime. One annoying thing is when you get stuck in front of another guy and you can't move.

GRAPHICS: Fairly good graphics but it slows down sometimes and there aren't very realistic dunks. Pretty colorful but sometimes can be too bright. They were nice and clear and even good on closeups.

SOUND: Excellent sound with realistic crowed sounds and a very good (not annoying) announcer. Very clear and the volume levels can be turned adjusted.

SETTING DESIGN: Real looking court with but sometimes the court is too bright. Can be really cramped and there is no option for the amount of players on the teams.

OVERALL: Very good basket-ball game with some obvious flaws that aren't too serious. The dunks aren't very spectacular so if you are looking for a game with glassbreaking, on fire action, triple somersault dunks, NBA Hangtime would be the better pick for you. If you are looking for a realistic game, get this.

OVERALL: 7.3 1080 DEG. SNOWBOARDING STORYLINE: DOWN, DOWN DOWN! SPLAT!!! N/A GAME CONTROL: It is a very realistic snowboarding game, sometimes too realistic. It really does feel like you are on a snowboard, however this can get annoying because the board is a little too topsy turny and staying on can be a challenge when you first try it. It is very easy to turn and to do tricks GRAPHICS: Nice graphics with well thought out maps and characters. They are very detailed in the cabin when you pick your character. The backgrounds aren't anything spectacular however they do the job. SOUND: The sound in this game is a bit disapointing. The snowboard sounds are okay, but the talking and music is unclear and annoying. SETTING DESIGN: The setting is appropriat for the game, SNOW. The levels were very well thought out with many routes to take and many places to get jumps off of. The corners aren't to sharp but it is still a challenge.A good idea for the cabin in the begginng. OVERALL: A good snowboarding game that could use some sound revamps. If you are looking for an action packed Mario Kart style game, you should think Snowboard kids, if you are a real snowboarder and want that challenge, go with 1080. RATINGS: out of 10 STORY LINE: N/A GAME CONTROL:7.5 GRAPHICS: 7.5 SOUND: 5 SETTING DESIGN: 8.5 OVERALL: 7.1
